About Tea
There is a Chinese saying, “You can study tea all of your life and still not learn the names of all the teas” With that in mind we have created this About Tea section to share our obsession with Chinese tea and tea culture with you.
Although there are endless tea names, each tea falls into one of six main categories: Green tea, White tea, Scented tea, Wulong tea, Black tea, and Puer tea. In addition, there is one rare category of tea called Yellow tea.
The categories of tea are based on the tea bush and how the tea is processed. These variables also affect the health benefits of the tea, and the types of tea ware commonly used for each. To learn more explore the links on the left.
