Congratulations to Seven Cups Denver!
Greg and the staff of Seven Cups Denver deserve a heartfelt round of applause. After only 9 months in business (as of March 2009), they’ve won the coveted Denver Westword’s “Best Store On Old South Pearl Street” award!
From Passion to Profession
Late in 2007, Greg Fellman called us to ask about purchasing tea wholesale for a tea house he had been planning to open for several years. Soon, the conversation morphed into a discussion about franchising. Greg thought: “Why re-invent? They had all the experience and know-how, all the connections. Also, I wanted to do just what they were doing: a traditional Chinese teahouse.”
Greg discovered Seven Cups when he returned from living in China from 2001 to 2003. He had become a tea aficionado during his time abroad and wanted to continue enjoying Chinese tea at home. “I came back and my love of tea increased from there. I started seeking out the best teas possible, searching online stores…which led me to Seven Cups.”
Today, Greg feels that the market is ready for fine tea. “It’s been very encouraging to have customers come in and know what they’re talking about as far as tea,” he says. “They’re asking very intelligent questions and showing that they’ve learned a lot about tea, done their research, and know what they like and don’t like.” (As told in Fresh Cup’s 2008 Tea Almanac)
Greg’s tea house in Denver is Seven Cups’ first franchise. It is Denver’s first and only Chinese tea house, serving our entire catalog of high-quality loose-leaf teas and handmade Chinese tea ware. Seven Cups Denver is located on the southern end of Old South Pearl Street.
