Seven Cups Franchise Program

If you are interested in starting a teahouse, and like us you have a passion for tea, a commitment to quality, an interest in culture and tradition,  Seven Cups is now accepting applications for limited franchising to qualifying merchants. When we say limited franchising, this is what we mean. We don’t want to be the Starbucks of tea. The tea that carries our brand is limited in quantity, so we are only looking for a very limited number of franchisees. Also the tea that we supply is only harvested in a very narrow time frame, so a great deal of planning is needed in setting up a tea house, and we are very limited in the number of teahouses that we can do in a year.

We have high standards for creating a genuine tea experience for our customers, so we source everything thing that goes into setting up a tea house from teaware, to furniture, to art. Since every piece is hand selected by us in China, planning and purchasing takes time as well. Our core competancy is sourcing, and we are the only American tea company is a full trading import/export license in China. We completely control our supply chain from producer to customer.

We want our franchises to have the greatest chance for success, so we spend a lot of time providing training that ranges from business planning to tea culture. Representing the Seven Cups brand requires learning on an on going basis because education is the key to marketing a high end cultural product. We focus on having the best information about tea and tea culture, as well as having the best quality tea and  teaware. We are considered to be the leading American experts in Chinese tea and tea culture by the Chinese, and we are members of the Chinese International Tea Culture Institute in Hangzhou.

We are opening a market for the best teas that China produces. We have customers in 35 countries including China, and we are commited to being the best at what we do.  If you think that you share our values and have a  committed interest in traditional Chinese tea culture, our franchise program may be for you.

We will only accept only one proposal for a tea house planning to open in 2009 and the dead line is February 15th 2009. Some of the requirements are:

  • Wish to open their tea house in a valid metropolitan market.
  • Share our dedication and ethics in vending authentic and high quality Chinese tea.
  • Have access to sufficient capital to assure their best chance of success.
