Gong Ting (Palace) Loose Leaf Black Puer 2010

This tea comes from Xishuangbana near old Puer City, in a growing area at over 2000 meters above sea level. The tea bushes are from 60 to 100 years old. Out of one ton of tea picked from these fields, only 30 to 60 kilos will be used for this tea after sorting.

Leaf size is very even, comprised of just young leaves and golden hued buds. The color of its the infused liquid is bright with red overtones, while the the leaves wet leaves turn to bright and brownish red. The flavor is rich with a sweet aftertaste and no musty off-tastes of composting. This mellow and approachable tea is good for people who are new to puer.
