Mo Li Long Zhu (Jasmine Pearls) Scented Tea 2013

Mo Li Long Zhu (Jasmine Pearls) Scented Tea 2013

Mo Li Long Zhu is our everyday jasmine tea in pearl shape. This type of tea is not "White tea". Although the leaves to make these teas are picked from the Organic Da Bai Hao bush, the tea is not processed as a white tea but is processed as a green tea. The type of tea produced depends not only on the bush it comes from, but how it is processed after picking. This is true for all jasmine teas.

To make jasmine pearls, a bud and sprig is picked, then hand rolled into a pearl shape and dried as a green tea. The pearls are then mixed in with freshly picked jasmine flowers ( about 70% of tea and 30% jasmine) and left to absorb the flavor and aroma of the jasmine. The tea is then separated from the jasmine flowers and allowed to dry after being in the moisture of the fresh blossoms. For Jasmine Pearls this process is done a total of three times with new batches of jasmine each time.

This is our most popular jasmine tea. It has a strong flavor and aroma. The fact that the aroma lasts over many infusions is also a way of proving that this tea is infused with real jasmine flowers, not artificially scented.
