Henan Province is the area furthest north for tea cultivation. Since the climate is colder, the harvest is later than other green teas, and the leaves are smaller. Our Xin Yang Mao Jian is for tea drinkers who enjoy a robust, rich taste with a lighter floral aroma. Tea makers achieve this by harvesting at the end of April with a standard picking of 1 bud to 2 leaves.

Location: Xin Yang County, Henan Province, China
Tea Bush: Xin Yang Ben Shan Zhong (Xin Yang Region Mountain Bush)
Tea Master:
Harvest Time: End of April
Picking Standard: 1 bud to 1 or 2 tender leaves

Brewing Guidelines
Teaware: 12 oz. glass or porcelain pot
Amount: ½ Tbs of tea leaves
Water: 180°F filtered water
Infusion: First infusion at least 2 minutes. The leaves are good for 3 infusions.
